Speculation on my part
So, back in that GQ magazine, Amy Wallace reported that his label wanted an album to be released before the Grammy consideration deadline. That deadline is Sept. 30, so that would suggest attempts to get something out before October. In a CNN interview though, Questlove mentioned a potential August release. This would be exciting, but mid-August until mid-September, D’ is on tour with Mary J. Blige. So, wouldn’t this mean he has to release a single in the next two weeks maybe and the album in the last two weeks of September or something? I think we’re still looking at an album to come out before 2013, honestly. But I sure don’t think that they can squeeze something out before October. [waiting game forever].
I figure I can get away posting things like this since there hasn’t been a thing concrete about this album. Still lacks a name. I’ll drop this post when actual news comes up though.
